 This
is a source of high quality performing editions of music of many periods
and styles arranged for small wind chamber ensembles.
From
Bach to Scott Joplin, whether you maintain a standing
ensemble or just get together occasionally, play professional engagements
or just jam in your living room, we can supply a wide variety of very readable
music for your specific needs.
These
musical arrangements are designed to be fun to play; sophisticated enough
to be interesting to the experienced professional but not so involved as
to be beyond the reach of the amateur or university player. All are
performance-proven and lend themselves well to sight reading, having been
originally designed for professional musicians performing without rehearsal.
The details have been attended to: print is large and clear, page
turns conveniently located, and parts are provided with cues and measure
numbers.
The
work has been done by a man with a lifetime of experience in both theoretical
and practical music, including Bachelor and Master's degrees
from Juilliard, and over twenty years' experience as solo Oboe
and general woodwind specialist with the Radio City Music
Hall Orchestra. My colleagues and I have enjoyed
playing these works, and I expect you will too. All works
are copyrighted, but right of public performance is included with each purchase.
Everything is supplied printed on heavy (24-28 lb.), high quality
paper, covered in hard stock and plastic bound. Prices printed for
these arrangements are introductory, covering little beyond the time and
materials to print them, so take advantage and audition one or two while
the gettin's good.
Listed
here are the many selections in stock, ready to ship. In most cases,
custom requirements can be met on request, such as transposing the Oboe
part for Clarinet, or the Clarinet part for Viola.
You are invited to decide what size ensemble interests you at the
moment and browse that category.
Within
each category you will find a list of works currently available, with a
verbal description of each. From there you can see and hear the first
few bars of the score of each movement. The sound quality of what
you hear will, of course, depend to a great extent upon what equipment is
resident on your computer, but at the very least you will have an idea of
what you're getting. Additional works will be added on a regular
basis, and custom work can be done, so please feel free to request special
projects for your own particular needs. I see this site as a member
of a community of colleagues, and in that spirit encourage any comments
and/or suggestions that you might care to make about the repertoire, any
individual arrangement, or the site in general. |
